I know you keep it in the wind if you've got any hours. I'd hire a fella like you if I was crazy enough to buy a second truck.

 

Hey, hey, hey.....watch throwing the ODFL around, that hits close to home buddy! LOL! My truck runs 64mph and I just chug along in the right lane most of the time. We do have some 68mph and 70mph linehaul trucks, but those are the senior guys that turn over 600 miles a day. What's funny is taking a turn out to Goodland which is 239 miles door-to-door and every time there a few fast trucks that pass me 2 to 3 times in that distance.

 

Most of them are mileage.

That’s a hard job. I ran local for about a year and a half. I worked way harder trying to be home every night. Also the same route everyday gets old fast.

I’d never go for linehaul. The same route would drive me insane.

 

There’s been times when I’ve been hailed over the CB for passing a slower truck 2-3 times during the course of a day...

“Well yeah. I do load checks. I ain’t hauling toilet paper....

You do the ‘Humble Pie’ and piss in that water bottle.”

They get purty quiet after that.

 

Think I just wet my pants a little....
