Maybe not so much now that we have the insufferable abomination known as adaptive cruise control.

A lot of it comes from Melton.... probably even more of it is just my personality and work ethic...

Once my 14 starts I’m all business.

Those 10 hours are for goofing — however you like to unwind, have at it. But if we gotta roll you better be ready with morning coffee in hand and an empty bladder at 10:01, we gots to go!

That’s why I don’t do well in groups. They want to stop every hour, sleep in, and hit every chrome shop across I-40. I ain’t that guy...

650/miles day. Run my 70 down. I don’t do the 400/mile day always have hours. I want to work my butt into the ground, kill my clock, and then put my feet on the dash one day a week while the slow poke catches up from 400 miles away.

“They only gave me a 700 mile run!!”

Well yeah, I have the fresh 70 off a reset and they gave me the 1300 mile run. See ya!

The “I don’t wanna work that hard” guys got the short end of the stick in my experience.

Keep her in the wind, drive with a brain, put some pep in your step, and you can do well in any part of this industry.

    How... Canadian of you, lol.

    Cheaper than the Beacon, lol.

I've got 64 and a half and my best days are usually between 630 and 650. Well, when I'm running in the US and not doing any outside the truck work and no border crossings.

But when I spend the 11 driving hours actually driving, it doesn't take much.

    I can see that...

I just like knowing what I’ll be doing every day, and that it won’t be anywhere near Washington DC or northern VA. :D

You got the gravy run for the northeast that’s for sure...

Some of the easiest miles I’ve spent in that region is on that island.. the turns can be a little wonky and I’m sure you’ve bumped docks made for straight trucks. Other than that you got it made.

Thank you guys, it took some time but glad it popped out as I could not get traction for nothing.
Good deal. You really kept your cool and head up over these setbacks and willing to tackle it to make sure it's done right and I respect you for that. With all the hard work and time you spent on your engine I hope it gives you many trouble free years.
