Well, it doesn't just tip & stop when it hits the trailer wall....it crushes anything in it's path..so show some respect for something that will kill you and anyone around you..js..o_O

It mattered not to me. Load it on there any old way I'll chain the bejezus out of it, whatever it is. There is one type of coil that worries me and that one is about 52000, 24 feet long, half inch plate throughout and higher than a man. Those go shotgun and I put everything on these. At least 20 strap and all 24 chain. Sometimes chain on chain to reach the additional anchor points built into the deck edging.

When I run flatbed I have one qualification.

A large tall cup of coffee, no lid set on the cab floor ahead of the shifter. Drive. Don't spill it. That way there are hardly any forces against that coil, however it's loaded. Suicide is a way of hauling that I did not have to do too often, most of my work is primarily aluminum out of Logan into the Brewery for cans. Those are eye to sky on pallets. The rest of it was pipe one way and cable, chain reels the other down south for a number of weeks.
