A lot of home insurance companies won't insure you if you have what they consider a vicious breed.

No, It's a dangerous breed that is just following it's nature. Now the owner, he the culpable one.

Summary: In the 13-year period of January 1, 2005 to December 31, 2017, canines killed at least 433 Americans. Pit bulls contributed to 66% of these deaths. Rottweilers, the second leading canine killer, inflicted 10% of attacks that resulted in human death. Combined, two dog breeds accounted for 76% of the total recorded deaths

    Another study:
A five-year review of dog-bite injuries from the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, published in 2009 in the journal Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, found that almost 51 percent of the attacks were from pit bulls, almost 9 percent were from Rottweilers and 6 percent were from mixes of those two breeds.

    Another...
And a 2011 study from the Annals of Surgery revealed that "attacks by pit bulls are associated with higher morbidity rates, higher hospital charges and a higher risk of death than are attacks by other breeds of dogs."

It's the landlord and dog owner's responsibility to do all that. If they don't they should lose everything they own, plus future income.

and to some insurance companies, that can be a very LONG list of dogs.

you can still get insurance, (with some) but at a MUCH HIGHER premium, and with HIGHER deductibles as well..

    JC1971 Thanks this.

So we're all clear....American Bull Dog and Pitts are the same underlying breeds. The pitt bull "fanciers" have been on a rabid campaign to try and create new terminology and saying that Pitt bulls are not an actual "breed". So now we have American Bulldog, Am Staff, Stafford Terriers etc etc

They threw a friggin TRASH CAN at that dog and it still wouldn’t let go!!!
I wonder if the owner kept up with it’s vaccinations(rabies,etc..). If not he is screwed. That dog needs to be destroyed.

A few CITIES are like that too.
IIRC Denver bans pit bulls from its city limits.
