Boys, boys, boys......there's no reason to fight over my checks----we should be working together.

    Further clarification:
    1) i haven't been keeping track of my total hours worked for the week, but will start as it's pretty important. The only reason why i was paying attention last week is because i felt i was getting close to the limit. As it was, i was able to get back home, drop my trailers, clean out the truck----we share with the city guys, and logoff with 3 mins remaining on my 70 on the e-logs. We use omnitracs by the way.

i would estimate that i do 55-58 hours per week, but we will see for sure.

The other thing about the lame 10K after 2 months is it was slow last month AND i was wanting to take days off, AND the guys below me on seniority were able to work as well, but i wanted off anyways.

    2) "Diversity BS:"
i want to make it clear that i don't care WHO you are: If you do a good job and you're not like hitler, jeffrey dahlmer or an a-hole or bish or let your mental issues spill out onto others around you, then i don't care WHO you are and i actually enjoy your presence on the job.

i'll address the whole "diversity BS," when there is more time.

Until then, if you're female and you want to be a manager, then get your butt down to UPS NOW, cause they WILL put you in the hot seat.

    FEMALE AND WANT TO MANAGE?
    NO EXPERIENCE? NO PROBLEM!
    NO PEOPLE SKILLS? NO PROBLEM!
INABILITY TO PRODUCE? NO PROBLEM! WE, AT UPS WANT YOU!

i want to make it clear that there are and were many girl-managers here that are just great. It's just a certain number----aren't.

    3) The reason for posting checks is not to brag, it's so we can all learn what it's realistically possible to earn at different jobs/companies. You'll notice that i also posted my low, lame checks at the beginning AND anytime now that i get a lame one. Next week will probably be lame because we had a snow day and i also wanted off on another day.

So, BDT, i think you SHOULD post yo' checks so that we can see what you can make at a food/beverage company starting off.

    POST YO' CHECKS!

As for the trades, could done it. They make good money. I can make just as, and some cases more sitting on my behind talking on the phone and listening to podcasts.
I can do 50-60 hours a week if I want without beating the hell out of my body.
Working 40 hours in the trades beats you up more than 70 in a truck!

That section covers wages and raises. Nothing in there about COLA.

Ohhhh, sure you could have! (Wink, wink!) Feeder guys got it made, aside from their work schedule. You are a feeder guy. However, in freight, you are constantly using your body in some form or fashion. I'll be making more on a 40 hour work week in the union then a guy at freight will putting in 60+ a week. And if I'm using my body in both jobs, I'd rather spend it on a job where I have a better work schedule with a pension, annuity, and higher wage then I would with a iob at ups.

I absolutely dont mean to hate on any guys that work at ups personally. I only mean to point out that the company is ruthless and treats their workers like slaves. However, you keep barking at me, which I guess makes this back n forth between me and you a lil personal.

As for checks, theres nothing fancy to post from my side. I run dump truck and haul equipment right now for 20 bucks an hour, which is actually a pay bump from what ups freight was paying me lol.

Look at the contract and read it. There is NOTHING about COLA. In case you dont know, COLA is what a company provides aside from wage increases to cover cost of living increases.

I'm not doubting UPS treats people like crap. Where I'm at in treated fairly.
I don't care if you like UPS etc...I really don't. All I did was try and correct some inaccuracies and it seems to turn into an argument.
Whether UPS is a good company to work for us subjective. UPS Freight having a two tier pay system with top scale pay for the same category is simply not true. That's pretty much my argument. Not your dissatisfaction with the company.

Cost of living adjustments are just small raises that just cover the cost of living. So it isn't a raise as when adjusted for inflation you just break out even.

Correct. And there is NO COLA in the freight contract.
