There are a lot of jobs not posted in newspapers . I said something a while back about working as deckhands on barges . Both the State And Federal KY listings had openings for deckhands . The Federal listing was with the Corps Of Engineers . That's an excellent job with chance of advancement , especially for a younger man . There are hundreds of jobs in all kinds of trades and professions listed on state and Federal job sites . A veteran would have hiring preference .
