Okay but you transposed the numbers...it's still not a 640.....its a 064. Maybe it was an 046 and you goofed those numbers up, too?
LOL...on top of all your other medical problems maybe you're a little dyslexic?lovesthedrive Thanks this. -
Could very well be, who knows. A little detail is always the devil in the works.Dave_in_AZ Thanks this.

No problem. My younger brother has been a timber faller and logger all his life. I checked on the "mystery saw" before I replied. He'd never heard of one either and he's been running the big Stihls since the late 60s.lovesthedrive and tramm01 Thank this.

There are 2 big pines about that size up where I cut firewood that I have had my eye on... The one is dead and I can cut it, the other still has a little green on the top so it can't be cut yet... But they are about 150 feet from the closest spot I can get a vehicle to, so I havent dropped the one yet... I need to figure out how to get it out after its on the ground. The 2 of them would give me enough wood for a whole winter and then some.Lepton1, Dave_in_AZ, InTooDeep and 1 other person Thank this.

Could you fall them, buck them into 8 foot lengths and then drag them out to the road with your pickup? If you can't pull direct maybe you could set up a snatch block and pull 90 degrees to the logs.Lepton1 Thanks this.

Rent a couple young studs on the football team for a day and buy a 18 wheeler of buckskins (they make a game out of it)— that’s what I do when I encounter a problem like that.Lepton1 and Cattleman84 Thank this.

Bought an MC 362 a couple years ago with a 25” bar — not tough enough to handle the big saws anymore— it’s a dandy, pretty light and easy to handle.

Well today was the toughest day of 14 year career so far. Lots of photos to follow.
Went by the avalanche. It's unreal, and looks to avalanche again.
White out. I don't think it's ever going to stop snowing near @okiedokie land.

Yeah that's kinda what I'm thinking of trying... But they are awfully big and the pull would be up hill on a very steep grade. If I had access to a decent sized bulldozer I know I could get them out, but I'm not sure a pickup would have enough pull to get them up the hill... Even if I ran a block and tackle it would be iffy.InTooDeep, REO6205, tramm01 and 1 other person Thank this.
