Can you explain to me why some loads of shingles get tarped when they are stored outside and go on a roof?

So the stupid packaging dont get tore up during transport. Timber tech decking was the same way. Sucked

Mine are not tarped today. If they can’t bother to knock off the snow before they load them. I’m certainly not going to climb up there to tarp them.

Rate con said the shipper would let me know if I needed to tarp or not. No one said anything so I left.

I haul shingles never have tarped a single one. Now broker said you need tarps. I told her I run side kit or open, don't own a full set of tarps and have no plan to ever. Then she said, well its just the ridge cap that needs tarped. So I agreed I will take a 11×11 steel tarp that I had to dig out of the back corner of shop. I let her know thats it, all she is getting. So we will see in the am! lol
