Western Flyer Express starting of a new adventure

Made it home yesterday. But unfortunately missed my appointment. Luckily i have a backup doctor that has an opening for today. Also got into my kw. Like it so much better then the freightliner. Now there is a few things i wish the kw had. Like not having to push the accelerator to roll forward or back. The freightliner was smooth backing. This truck if im to heavy backing going to be a pain.

 

I got a 2017 680

 

It's across the board..I'm an o/o and it has been very tough last few months...you have take the good with the bad....it should pick up soon with spring around the corner.

 

I haven't really seen much of a drop in my miles. But other reefer drivers not so much. Some guys said they are getting 2300-2500. I dont expect that to last to much longer. As others said the first two to three months of the new year is usually slow.

 

page 20 felt like a Tinder hookup.. Im also a contractor at WFX.. 3 state regional so ill keep an eye on this thread too.

 

Came off hometime monday. When I got back to the truck I can hear this loud alarm going off before I even open the door. I forgot to turn my inverter off and left a light on. Which meant i had a dead truck. Luckily i had jumper cables and a 4runner. Didn't think the 4runner would give me enough juice to crack the truck. But it did. Save myself some money. Load out the house 1110 miles. Delivered that today. Now deadheading 474 miles to my next load going to NV and CA 1697 loaded miles. That has me over 3000 miles for the pay period.

 

Hopefully you're not having to go over donner pass?...they're literally digging out..80 is closed right now until further notice ..

This i believe could be the rest area building at the summit..

 

Thats the way im headed. 1st stop is in reno. So might take 580 over to hwy50 to get around.
