‘Emotional support animal’ mauls 5-year-old girl at airport

It's not the dog, it's how you train them.
Until someone's face gets bitten off.

 

All you need to claim "emotional support animal" is a harness and a generic note from literally anyone. It's ridiculous.

Legitimate service animals are highly trained, highly focused, very calm tools. There's a reason guide dogs for the blind are specific breeds. Labs, Goldens, GSD types... These are working breeds who focus strictly on the job with calm precision and quiet decorum. They also cost many thousands of dollars.

Morons who pretend their pet is a legit service animal are actually hurting the handicapped. We have a retired Therapy Dog who was evaluated and trained for three years before being used as a nursing home therapy dog with elderly and frail patients. She would sooner die than put her mouth on anyone.
