After allot of internal and external debate i finally put in the app lets see how it goes.

 

After allot of internal and external debate in put in my app. Wish me luck i just hope it doesn't turn into a 4 month process.

 

Good luck, it took from start to finish 8~ weeks. But my situation was probably different, I only had one year of experience. Also the safety guy who was approving my app apparently got sick and had to take like a week off in the middle of approving my application. But the wait is worth it.

How’s work this week? Here at Fedex still slow for us.

 

This week is been okay so far, mon and Tuesday I got 10 hr back to back. Today i only got 7 hrs since management is really watching everyones hours.

Also today I was very dumbfounded. I took the tractor to the shop today and asked for the license plate light, the response I got from the mechanic was very silly, he replies you dont need a light since you dont have a license plate. I told him DOT requires that every light on tractor should be working regardless if I have a license plate.

He eventually gave me the light, mind you this is the second time I ask for a light and both times that was the response I got. I know we dont have the best equipment in the world, but geez how bout we care for what we got.

Also today Im really dissatisfied how we handle customer service, as it is we are very slow, today I went to a customer and picked up a huge volume of freight. Furthermore I couldnt picked up everything and called dispatch to notify that customer needed a second trailer to take the remaining freight, dispatch replies was take what you can and were not going to send another truck.

I apologize to the customer and he asked if the offices were open so he can talk to dispatchers, furthermore he called and another truck got sent to pick up the remaining freight. Quite frankly the dispatchers we got they are not very organized, I really dont see a point on having meetings every weekend about production and picking up freight, if we as a company cant take care of the customer.

Sorry for the rant, I just needed to vent.

 

That’s crazy on the customer thing. When I was at Said p&d the dam mechanics never wanted to help either. You’re at Estes now right?

 

As you goto different terminals you see this and more. Some places ppl can be dicks. Shop office etc.
