My attempt to make a video from my dash cam the other day. Yes it has swearing. What would a video be with out swearing.
I really really really hate 4 wheelers.
Video file has errors guess I should just avoid being Spielberg.
Where is everyone #5

Well.... Here's my unpopular opinion:
You're in the hammer lane & he comes up on you hot.
You dropped speed because he did that and you didn't like it.
He brake checked you, because you dropped speed on him, and he didn't like that.
I don't like the way either of you handled that.
In fact, I think Prime, way over in the slow lane, was probably the best driver I saw in that video.
Don't let your spite get the best of you.
And I'd probably erase that video from the internet.BigBob410, 4mer trucker, Humblepie and 10 others Thank this. -
I need to figure out the format issue youtube had an issue, it was only time before they killed it.
Killingtime I deal with these plastic battery cars on a regular basis. They think they are better than everyone else.
I won't own one, I wouldn't waste my money to buy them.
Prime was speeding in Commie-fornia as was the farmer next to me hauling pigs in his pickup.
Utility type vehicles like what I was in, is not in anyway a sports car. Being in the situation I was, mashing the gas would of done nothing but put tesla next to pickup forcing him into prime.
Letting off gas was the only option to prevent something major under bridges.
You handle your ride like you want to ill keep my ride from being involved with stupid impatient drivers.IH Truck Guy, Zeviander, exhausted379 and 5 others Thank this. -
I said it'd be an unpopular opinion.
I stand by that.
The notion you stated about 'really' (x3) hating 4 wheelers implicates that you're very impatient. Tolerance is low & you're easy to frustrate.... I'm not trying to pick you apart here, but only suggesting that you're habits might be.... dangerous, perhaps. Tho, as you alluded to, there is much in the way of context (rearview) I'm missing from the video you posted. I'm a regular around Boston.... I know stupid.... I also know how to bully my way into or out of something without endangering people... Pick your fights driver!
I too, will keep my (company) ride away from impatient drivers. I want you to do the same, safely. That is all.4mer trucker, SAR, jamespmack and 5 others Thank this. -
Since the Tube picked up music from the radio. I tried again uploading.
Let's see how non tube hosting works.
It's unfortunate automotive drivers( class C) are worse in major cities. I agree Boston is in my top 10.Last edited: Mar 1, 2019

I though t it was because it gives you the screaming runs! Last guy I knew that drank that stopped for a buritto in Wapakonetta and I have never heard from him since. -
PBR is too thick. It’s like beer milkshake that has notes of bread in the background. I’ll take a Hamm’s over a pbr. Plus you can buy 24 Hamm’s a dollar.

You guys ever parked over some else’s oil leak, and not noticed. I woke up this morning and bout #### a brick. I climb out of the truck and there is oil everywhere and a big puddle of milky goo under the truck.
I’m thinking oh ####! That ain’t good. So, I shut the truck down, open the hood pull the dipstick hoping it ain’t milky. Crawl all over the engine looking for problems. Fire it up checking gauges. I can’t find anything. So I move to another spot and leave it running while I went to eat.
Long story a little less long. Nothing wrong with my truck, but someone is going to have a bad day.johndeere4020, Zeviander, 1951 ford and 22 others Thank this. -
Not as unpopular as you may think.
Yes!
@peterbilt_2005 the point of this reply is if you're gonna use a dash cam you need to act right, all the time, no matter how you justify it. Or at least use a small enough memory card in the camera that it recycles in under an hour. 8 or 16GB max, depending on how big the files are.
That way a couple hours later when the drunk rear ends you in stopped traffic and dies, you have the evidence you were doing nothing wrong, while the "victim" family's attorney will find no examples of questionable decision making on your part from earlier in the day and turn your evidence into a windfall claim. They will insist on taking the entire memory card, if it comes down to that. You don't get to edit out the bad stuff because the police or courts will refuse to accept anything tampered with.
My own camera only tracks back just under 2 hours for this reason. I never claim to be a perfect driver, but at least this way there's less history to comb thru and find a bad example.
For the same reason, if you're gonna run a camera you should also enable the gps location and speed feature. In some cases, position and speed add a lot of value to the images. If you're doing things where that might be a problem for you, then don't use a camera at all. If it came down to a speed issue in a crash investigation, I am certain the police will be able to calculate that based on reference points over time, anyway.
Edit to add: Short term memory in the camera also avoids conflict with any mistakes written on paper logs, or so I've been told. So another reason to not try and store more than an hour or so. -
RPH, The short version is you lower compression so you can add boost psi. You add boost buy adding fuel. You have a hard time controlling EGTs with higher compression. Now take into account that this should be calculated per engine and what you want it to do. Affects startability, cold smoke, fuel consumption so you dont wanna normally make a huge drastic change.
