I Shift Conversion

The 12 speed I shift cannot be made into manual. The reason is that in that particular truck the TCU controls the engine and not the ECU.......well could be done but you need to.......replace ECU,TCU the transmission with a manual one the differentials because of the ratio on the I-shift. It will cost you around 30 grand to do that?
Why do you want to do something like that? No better trans out there than I Shift my man

 

Amen. Why replace the trans with an inferior one in the first place

 

12k trans, 3k cover,10k clutch parts........any symptoms at yours? I might be able to help

 

I've wondered about putting in a manual as well. I had mine replaced under warranty at 400,000 km because the dual mass flywheel came apart like many do and messed up the input shaft. Since nobody really rebuilds these things it ended up being a $30k (CAD) repair.

The I shift is great and all but it in my application its a bit of a dog when it's left to think for itself in D and is wayyyyyy to aggressive in P+. I don't think its saving me any fuel its just nice to run in manual and easy to maintain.
When its no longer under warranty I would think it has to be significantly cheaper to swap a manual in and new ecm, no? I would like to be able to rebuild for under 10k and open the door to more aftetmarket ecm tune options.

 

I did it. IShift cost me a lot of peoblems and headaches. TEC dealer wanted me to put new tran. (15k) .... BS..
I take it to local trans guy and they did good jod. New pedal, new tran.... all instaled cost me 7,000
BUT!!! - Here is one problem. Clutch, electritian guy did all requested reprograming on ECU but still truck not recognizes clutch. So NO parked regeneration, no cruse control, no engune brake. All this is not working bcse of clutch.
Truck running really good, has better mpg...

 

Idk i have an ishift for sale 509k miles complete running $4k thats the best deal around just look for them
