I remember taking it about 3 years ago. I spent an entire day reading the handbook on hazmat, highlighted the areas I thought would be asked in the tests, and I also took a few free practice tests online. I passed it the next day. I missed only one question that I believe was an error on their part. I emailed them about it, but I never got an answer.
When you take these tests, you have to remember that you can skip questions! Do not answer the question if you are not sure on the answer. Skip it! All questions are worth the same. Say there are 30 questions. They only need you to answer 24 correctly. That is it. Leave the hardest questions until the end.

Shipper gives us placards. 99% of the time they are the UN #. And can’t carry (theoretically
) a bunch of different ones in the truck. For me I just get sick of the rain washing them away etc.

Even if HazMat didn't pay more (it does), I wouldn't give it up for nuthin'. I learn a crap ton about different products and processes, I rarely wait longer than an hour to load or deliver and my customers are always happy to see me.
Just passing by Thanks this.
