Yeah, I'm under load taking a "3" headed to delivery in Louisiana.

A THREE? Yep. Can't arrive early for delivery. The customer doesn't open for another five hours and I'm two hours away. The gate is locked and entry is off a narrow, busy, two lane road with no shoulders.

Well my first question in this forum ever was about fanny packs in trucking, lol! The question I've been dying to ask, but don't want to start a brand new post (scared!)- what does a trucker do when he/she has the diarrhea? Can you pull over on the shoulder for a sec and use your makeshift 3 gallon bucket with a Walmart bag or what?

    1. Yes
    2. Baby wipes
    3. Make sure you keep a good supply of immodium. And some bottled water. Or posdibly ginger ale.
Sometimes that all I can drink with upset insides.

Yes, you do what you have to do.
Those signs say: Emergency Parking only.
    Well... that’s an emergency.
I’ve also found. Keeping stress low. That makes it much easier for the body to fight anything. Viruses, etc. , are fought by the body much more effectively.
I’ve also taken a proactive approach to health. We’ve ignored minerals. Especially magnesium. Also make sure to have Airborne on hand. For when you feel something starting.

If your truck doesn't have a refrigerator, buy a good 12v cooler. The real key to avoiding the trots is eating healthy food. Avoid mystery meat. Eat plenty of fiber rich rich foods aka raw fruits and vegetables.

I changed my diet going on five years ago. I lost 45 lbs in six months, dropped my blood pressure, and normalized my blood sugar. Since then I haven't been sick. Not a cold, flu, or even a runny nose. I pull a flatbed, which means I am out in the elements and used to get laid up sick at least twice a year.

Hello WesternPlains! Thanks for the added info on this! I've really enjoyed reading through your posts, and I plan on going through each one before I go into training! You are humble enough to post your mishaps and own your mistakes, and by doing this I have already picked up on some very important things to be prepared for. You have come a long way so far and I tip my hat to you! Keep up the great work and stay safe! P.S. Your "co-driver" is a cutie!

I've be chuckling to myself, because I bet ten to one this has happened to somebody, somewhere. I imagine being squatted on my bucket on the shoulder of interstate X and a state trooper knocks on the window!

"Trooper! For your own safety, do NOT open that door unless you have a breathing apparatus handy!"
