I’d say 80% of my neighbors are originally from Ohio. Lots of new southerners in the last 10 years1951 ford, 7-UP, 4mer trucker and 18 others Thank this.

I know alot that have moved south, I have a brother outside of Raileigh NC. But they all move to big cities and complain about how expensive it is. Or retire. Here I bought a 1960 square foot repo with new siding, windows and a 3 year old 32x28 insulated shop for 59k. Its in the city limits. Wife liked the area but that is the only downfall. My first time living inside the limits. Next move is backout. Build a new house or cemetary.1951 ford, 4mer trucker, Slowpoke KW and 12 others Thank this. -

One plus about paying the premium on CAT parts though is they will always have it. @ShooterK2 and @OLDSKOOLERnWV tell me they have to search to find certain parts for their Cummins motors despite them being drastically cheaper.
Personally, I'd prefer the guarantee of always being able to get something in the long run. Even though I think an N14 is the best sounding straight-piped diesel motor this side of the old-school V8's.1951 ford, 4mer trucker, Slowpoke KW and 16 others Thank this. -

Not only will Cummins not have some things, but the things they do have lotsa times end up bein broke, cracked, scratched, etc. in such a way so as to be bad right out the box.
