If I knew then what I know now I woulda never bought any. Wasn’t nothin wrong with the heads that was on the motor when I bought it. But when ya do a rebuild, ya put heads on it, right? So here we are 9 heads later I finally got three on there that ain’t leakin diesel into the radiator, ain’t leaking diesel down the side of the block, ain’t leaking compression out, and are generally a good set of heads so far.

Coulda saved myself a whole lotta headaches if I’d just had mine rebuilt.

All the small parts are washed in rubbing alcohol, dries your bark out and they split real easy. Never had any infections lol.

My wife used to do kitchen prep for a steak house with a huge salad bar before we got married. All her fingers were split out from cutting onions.

They had someone stealing from them so they fingerprinted the whole staff.....hers were so tore up they couldn't get prints.

New Blackstone showed up today. Need to clean out a spot in the shop so I can get it seasoned up and try it out.

Yep! Not bad! Personally, I would call that a $350 to $500.00 machine, but from the ones that I've known of lately that got sold, I'd be waiting for a while to find one for my price. A pair of them just went for $950 each in town here...

I've never owned one of those... but thats the kind of machine I like! Older and simple. Mine are all Miller, CP300's. All about the same vintage... 99.9% of the time when you have an issue, its a 10 minute fix!

Yeah, I've been sworn off anything with less than 4 doors. But I *may* be able to convince her if I can somehow use it being a pickup truck as evidence of it being necessary. And I might also be able to swing the "the 5-seat configuration adds $12,000 to the price" argument.

Only problem I see though, is I'll likely have to order from factory to even get the V8 in a regular cab. Nobody around here buys a three seat pickup, nor do they buy a base model. So dealer incentive pricing won't exist.
