Most shippers go by a set of shipping rules. They make the pallets weigh 2000 pounds max. This makes loading pretty bullet proof, as almost all trucks will then be able to scale legal on their drives and tandems, and make the length restriction required for the communist state.
-
I know some shippers use some sort of software to spit out an optimized diagram because they too load disparate pallets and nail it perfectly as far being able to scale legal even to problematic states like California.
I found this but I’m sure there are others if you look hard enough.
PalletStacking
You probably don’t need help with building the pallets. You just need to plug in each pallet’s weight and calculate for even weight distribution. -

D.Tibbitt Thanks this.

I prefer if a single has to be near the back for it to be in one set of pallets so I can tie the load down as best as possible, so that pallet has to be put in tight in the center, single pallets on the back are hard to tie down good and with the roads being a bit rough any help is appreciated.

Heavy pallets in the center of the trailer pls. If the load has multiple stops, load it according to weight. Light pallets in the front, heavy in the middle, light on the back. It shouldn’t be loaded according to the stop but I know 90% of shippers are delinquents.
I got sick and tired of the same shippers always putting heavy pallets in the nose of my ref trailer. And my drives always over 34k.
I solved that problem by putting a fake pallet with empty boxes on the nose so that only 1 heavy pallet can be in the noseJoeyJunk Thanks this. -
D.Tibbitt, jbatmick, Snailexpress and 2 others Thank this.

Pallets dont fit through my tanker dome lids so Im not sure of the proper way to load pallets but down the right side makes sense to me. Hahaha
