Nice video! But no relationship to what hauling logs is really like; Slipping & falling on your ### in a frozen landing at 4 AM, coming in at night with your truck so muddy you can't tell what color it is, having the interior so coated with dust you can't tell what color it is, having to pay attention & drive the ###### truck every minute instead of being able to listen to music as you cruise down the freeway- it's still an awesome job/lifestyle & I sometimes wish I'd kept doing it in my youth instead of chasing my OTR dreams.

haven't the tree huggers pretty well ruined the forest industry in Washington and Oregon and cut it by 60% in Commifornia and Idaho?
20 years ago we were hauling Canadian softwood lumber to all parts of the USA but mostly to the western states. And this was when there was a 15%(I think) tarriff on it and the big lumber companies where still making money. When the tarriffs were lifted just before the NAFTA agreement went into effect the Canadian lumber companies started to lose profit margins and a few of the small mills in the PNW were able to start up again on a limited scale. This move has caused a cutback in Canadian operations and many shutdowns and no rebuilds of mills. our lumber industry is not nearly as bad as yours but is still hurting. I can think of somewhere around 10 or 15 mills that I hauled from in the 80's through to the early 2000's that are gone.

You should do that anyway, whether you're on an icy goat trail through the woods or a wide open span of super slab.

LOL...You named some good ones but you forgot to mention grouchy loader operators, asking for two points on the front and three on the back and getting six on both ends, blade men who always leave a little berm of rocks just the right size to stick between your duals, putting on a strip chain and tying to your front bunk and still be holding your breath watching the bunk logs slip when you hit a waterbar that somebody was too lazy to level, giving a cedar load a haircut before you get on the pavement and itching the rest of the day from the bark dust, water truck drivers who put extra water on the steeper switchbacks, wing logs on top with no crowders that slowly work their way to the center of the load, side heavy loads, top heavy loads, end heavy loads, loads with breaking bunk logs that you have to false-bunk, and getting the last load of the day and finding an inside flat on your trailer.
Oh...and lets find out which catskinner has been building the turnarounds and turnouts. Just 'cause they're big enough for a D-6 doesn't mean they're big enough for a truck.
