T A Coffee

unfortunately WAWA does not want to go west or expand east of Interstate 81 sadly I loved WAWA when I ran lots of East Coast until about 8 yrs ago..WhatI love now is KwikTrip with the or Kwik Star in Iowa what I'm on in that neck of the woods of Wisconsin Minnesota Iowa I look forward to stopping at those they're almost as good as Wawa.. although I'm starting to like the pilot and Circle K bean to cup fresh organic ground coffee also.

Brew your own coffee

 

It is possible to get a free coffee with fuel at TA/Petro, but you have to have platinum status and fuel at least 75 gal. I’d say 5% of drivers do this, and it’s mostly independent o/o using NASTC.

 

Flying j has the best coffee out of the big boys I have found, pilot would be second best (yes I know it’s the same company)

 

If you get coffee after midnight, a lot of times it has been sitting for hours. You can tell because the coffee taste off, and the less warm it gets, the uglier it tastes. They know this, and that is why if you “only” need a coffee refill, they usually won’t charge you.

In the day, TA/Petro is actually good. Pilot/FJ coffee is better, but TA/Petro is better than Love’s coffee. Love’s coffee tastes cheap. Then again, lots of drivers get free refills through their rewards program.

 

If you want to make it even simpler and cheaper, use a Melitta cone filter and get a 120v pot to boil water. Pour it through yourself instead of having a $75 Keurig and a little cup that cost $.50 each time. And you can get any kind of coffee you want, not just what is available in the cups.
A real coffee drinker grinds the beans just before brewing, and makes sure the water is at 190 degrees.

 

If I’m getting coffee it’s either Loves Pilot/j or mr. coffee maker. TA/Petro coffee is the worst.
