    Okay...latest job review.

This one may scare the living #### out of most of you. But for those of us who have a handle on our lives and finances. Maybe not.

Base pay .31 a mile, with .01 per mile bonuses for each additional 100 run. Per Diem is mandatory.

IE you run 3200 this week, you get .32 a mile for all miles, 3300, you get .33 for all miles...all the way up to .38 per mile.

Payroll is done in this manner. When all bills have been submitted and paid, you get paid. Not nearly as bad as you think. But it can get scary if you need to know the exact amount of your check without fail, every week.

So far, they have had me home every weekend without fail. Deadheading me as far as 300 miles to the house.

The trucks will idle, so you have heat and air at all times :D

And the majority of loads are drop and hook, same customers.

The shop is 110% head and shoulders above bigger companies. If you're a slacker for taking care of the equipment. You won't be here long.

I drove a 10 year old truck for over a week, that was in better shape than most companies 1 year old trucks. And better taken care of.

All dispatch is done by phone, no Qualcom. And they have got their #### together. Longest wait to date, 3 hours. Most often, they have my load lined up when I call in. And I just go get it after I drop, or unload.

Overall, I'm impressed with their operation. Despite the fact they are a smaller regional company with 150 trucks.

Are you saying you dont get paid until the customer pays them? 15 days,30 days?

What kind of miles are you getting ?

    Thanks,

Yes and no. Most customers are pre-paid. So it's a non issue. We do pull some brokered freight in outer areas, that require additional time to process. So far I have only been held 7 days on 1 load, for the month.

It sounds much worse than it is. And it could be, if you pulled nothing but brokered loads. But we have several dedicated accounts, that pre-pay. Those are 90-95% of our loads.

MILES.... I getting more miles than I want. I had stated in an earlier thread I had gotten 2400 and some change. Turns out, I had gotten 2700 for the week. And home for the weekends.

I turned in 2900 last week, and it should be as close this week. Personally, I would be happy with less ;)

We run a continues loop, primarily drop and hook, with little if any delay between loads. But things do go wrong sometimes. They're not perfect either.

Here's my week thus far. Left sunday evening.
    N. MS to Ft. Worth,
    Ft. Worth to South MS.
    South MS to N. MS

I picked the Ft Worth load up Friday (started in GA), so I have the miles to the house as well. And I'm home tonight, set for delivery in the AM in Myrtle, MS.

When I empty in the AM, I will be at 1745 miles for the week. And I have 2 days good running left easily. I usually send my completed trips in on Thursdays.

I also have been thinking about Dancor would send a PM but don't have enough posts. Do the company have O/O or just company drivers.

    Thx

I haven't seen any O/O here. So my answer would be no. But don't take that as THE answer. You would need to speak with recruiting.

Their web site mentions O/O. So I assume they do have some.

Do a google on Dancor Transit.

Thnx for the info. I have an application in with them & have not been able to find anything bad about them. Plz let me know. I live in Northeast LA and it seems to be a good regional gig.
