The big problem is the dog owners aren't being held accountable.
Owners of vicious dogs should rot in prison and lose everything they own to the victim or victim's family.
I'd love to see law firms specialize in suing dog owners in dog attack victims.
They should sue the dog owner, the town/city for not having laws to protect citizens, sue the home owner and/or land lord where the dogs live.

Wow, at least the tenth one listed so far... Fatalities reported in 2019

Also looks like family dogs attack from within their own "pack", perhaps as often as strays, even a trainer was just killed by her own dogs.

You ain't kidding, love the reply "oh my dog is so gentle, it would never hurt anyone" ya until the pitbull gene kicks in and it decides to chew the face off of some poor kid.

A pack of dogs is a very specific organization/group that can only function with a specific hierarchy.
Most people do not have an actual cohesive pack... they have an unruly mob.

An unruly mob will chase, attack and kill anything that moves when they are wound up.

A true pack will be under verbal control of the human in charge no matter what. A single individual dog may cause trouble or behave badly, but the pack unit as a whole, will not deviate from the leader's commands.

It takes daily work, training, careful choices about which dogs to have and supervision for years to create and work a true pack of dogs. The truth is that some breeds do not and will never be truly manageable as a pack of three or more.

The chase/catch/kill instincts are too strong in some dogs to be controlled when several of them get hyped up together. I guarantee, if the truth were known, these GSD dogs have a history of fighting amongst themselves at home - not squabbles over a toy or bone, but actual fights. That is a warning sign to owners that their dogs are not mentally balanced, emotionally stable and are not looking at the human as leaders to follow/obey. The owners need to face criminal charges for murder.

The article states the dogs were put down for good after this was done.

The Owner should be brought up on charges.
