    Ok heres my deal.
I may be able to have the state fund my schooling.
I have to choose between Cr England with Pre hire and they are like 15 miles from my house. Or I can go 3 hours away to C1 Training without pre-hire. The state will pay for either one so that is my problem... Any insight would be helpful....
C1 has TMC,Swift,Werner,USA,P.A.M., and a few others but no pre hire letter..
    Thanks

I would say that CR England would be an ok start. Get your schooling, training, and stay with them for a year to pay for that, then move on. I worked for CR about 10 years ago for a couple years.

One word of advice, don't smoke in their "hotel rooms" in their facility. They have very touchy fire alarms........I found out first hand when I shut the whole terminal down hahahaha

    That is funny....
The cool thing is I will be able to go to school and then go home for the night. I live really close to Burns Harbor...
I have read allot of posts on here about these companies and am trying to decide on the best route to take.
I do have a family but my wifes dad was a Driver and she is use to the lifestyle so no prob... there.
    Thanks for your insight

If I was in this situation and I got funding for school. I would use a driver training school that is not affiliated with a trucking company. You might have better choices of trucking companies when training is completed.

You hit the nail on the head.
I am having a hard time with this because on one hand I can train a few miles from home but only one company t choose from or I can go downstate and choose from a few other companies. This is not easy......
One vote for Cr and one for downstate training.....

Just my experience, and fyi, I attended C1 in Indy for a week with a pre hire from USA .I told by driver solutions on the second monday that USA had decided not to hire me after all, and that I could sticy around and finish training and they would try to find me a company, or I could go home and ow nothing. I chose to come home rather than take the chance on owing 6g ansdd not having a job.

Just go to a non affiliated trucking school. You should beable to get a job no problem after you graduate and you will not owe a trucking company a years worth of work for it.
