Wow,, guess his mom forgot to breast feed him this morning,, what a grouch, not only do cashiers ask you that incase you forgot something, its also a way to possibly get you to buy more, just like BK asks do you want fries with that,, or a hot apple pie?? they are trained to ask that in theyr orientation just like drivers are trained to pretrip and use of logs and safety. what would happen if he was at a shipper and they gave him one sheet of BOL and it didnt list all that was on his trailer,, he would ask is this it?? then the shipper could get all pizzed and storm out leaving him there.. ha ha ha.

Flying J is not the only store that ask "will this be all for you today?".

And it is not only truckers that get asked that question, at almost
every register in the country they do this.

I think you just had nothing else to moan about.

Thunderbird grow up. Its drivers with attiudes like yours that give the rest of us a bad name. Like Danc649 I too have gone in to buy a certain item and bought a few other things only to forget to get what I orginally forgot to get what I originally went in for.

I will try to keep in mind that you are a NEWBIE to this industry but hard to do with your ignorance so blatantly displayed. You are not the "greatest thing since sliced bread"! Every trucking company has it`s good points and bad, but we find companies with policies that we can live and deal with. You really do need to brush up on your people skills as you right now are not and would not be an asset to any company.

My complaint with all truck stop, er travle centers,
Is you go to the counter, and you have a few items.
You hand them the cash, they say sometimes say Thank You, yet faill to bag up the items. Thus you end up asking for a bag, then you get the dirtest looks on this side of the moon, because now they have to bag your items.
What happend to automatcly bagging what you bought?

After watching Seinfeld, I always laughed when McDonalds asked if I wanted an apple pie. They haven't asked in a long time.

A related eye opener I got a few years back was this:

You're in a store stuck behind an old couple who just dodder along and all those thoughts go thru your mind as you're in a hurry and they are a PITA...but...
either one of them may just have a year or few left as they deteriorate and they are merely trying to spend as much time as possible with each other before one of them has to say goodbye. A store trip is the big adventure of their day.
This crushed any arrogance of mine, bigtime.
