Speed, load weight, cold ambient temperature, and wind speed are some of the big factors in MPGs.

Idk if this is relevant but the 2018 international LT we had before this, same engine with a 10 speed manual, running same loads was getting 7.3 mpg at 70mph.

100,000 pounds? Then that's different. 6.4 and so forth is #### good.

    = 4.6 mpg (us gallons)
    Dry van that's very low
Super B that's probably pretty good

Too much low rpm lugging always in the boost will bring your mpg right down

If the tractor in your Avatar is the one you are pulling a van with then the height difference of your tractor roof and trailer is part of your problem. If you own the trailer a nose cone could solve that. Google tractor trailers with aerodynamic devices and effects of wind resistance on fuel economy and you can research numerous studies that have been tested. Some sites explain the different options on semi trucks and what percentage they play in fuel economy gains.
