Good Night From II

Jurupa terminal.
Got to the final this morning for them to say there no appt.
Called dm who let csr know.
They sent me another appt time for 03/09 0001. 4 minutes later than the last one lol
Guy also said they unload last trailer at 2100.
Waited about 45 minutes then drove here to terminal.
Finally sent another appt change... 03/11 0000.
Dm finally had them tcall it.
Got a preplan for 03/10 0500 in Oxnard delivering in tolleson az at 0800 next day.
Told dm I could do a local to get an empty.
Gave me one that was sitting in the yard that delivers right next door at walmart.
Waited in line with other bobtailed for about an hour for an empty.
Hooked up and did my walk around.
Door latch on left door missing, left placard missing, right placard flapping in the wind. Missing the holder thingy. And a running lite out.
Asked a local driver if these are the type of trailers you guys bring here. He said they all are bad.
Came here to the shop to get it fix. Didn't think it take long.
Guy said to drop it.
So ran in dispatch window and told them the issue. He said he wasn't giving me an empty since the one I have is broken. Asked to speak to his supervisor and he didn't like that. Guy said he give me one this time lol. Told him wasn't my fault shop didn't want to repair it.
Now I will get another 34 reset in.
Have to get my meds refilled anyways and get my mail.
Busy day today and not getting much done really

 

It really sounds like you should get in a better area to drive.
Maybe move to a different area to get a better terminal?

 

Love so cal. Spent most of my life here. So won't move.
It's just one of the few loads I've had that turns to crap for whatever reason.
Also in the winter time I try my hardest to stay put of that white crap that falls out of the sky during that time. Lol
So I don't expect alot of miles but I am ok with that.

Maybe you should try Swift intermodal or Swift Amazon or Swift local P&D. All local to So Cal.

 

They’re putting in a fitness room at the Edwardsville terminal. The equipment is locked in the old store for now. Bout time. Hoping this is a trend that continues.

 

Most drivers won’t be using it anyways. I bet the office workers will use it more often.

I think drivers are more likely using the laundry machines.

Picked this load up at Costco dc in tolleson yesterday. Have a 7 pm appt time.
Driver who has appt after me decided to cut in line. He cut his seal to force them to take him early. Not sure how long it's gonna take. Got here an hour ago and he was already in the dock already. Receiver says she doesn't know.. haven't some kind of issues with his load.
Pick up In cedar city ut tomorrow morning and delivers in Los Angelis at 1500 thursday.
