Not really, does to some. not to me. To me I would pay more for a non assemble engine than put together. Get into race car engines once amd see how many people sell sheet. Worth more in pieces to me. -
....And probably not to a dealer either should one trade it in.

A man needs to make money for sure. But sittin at home with the wife ain't always fun an games with yer pants down.
Dont take that to mean I condone cheap freight I hate the #### myself. I also believe it takes longer to go broke sittin at the house pinching pennies than hauling to cheap. That said less you independently wealthy from inheritance etc, you gonna have to get up off that ### eventually an go to work or starve -
Better have been dealer, or factory rebuild. I aint saying they are better, but its your best chance of getting a better value. If your gonna spend that kinda of money on a old truck you better run it till worn out again for return on investment. No changing your mind later. You will never recoup it. But better like to tinker on them. After a Million miles your replacing things you would never ever work on before that. Them little things add up and will break you paying to have it done. -
Well, after spending 12 years in a 2005 Mack Vision before they handed me that 579, they didn’t have to do too much to my Mack in the 800k miles I put on it.
I’ve often wondered if there are ANY aftermarket parts that ever last as long as factory. -
The Moose musta lost it's Season Pass to the Golden Corral

I get both points. Normally I can wait a few weeks and something comes up. I sure aint got the family wealth either. But I aint turning one wheel less than what I need for profit. At that point Ill go back to work for the company i used to work for. Ill go broke in the driveway, before burning fuel and wearing out equipment for nothing. I have other businesses outside of trucking too. Diversity is key to this wild ride. Still take on paying repair work if and when I want too. I really am a loose moral income for hire person! Not gonna go into deep detail but I have 3 real estate payments and wife has some student loans. Working on paying them all off. Now its hard not to have a house payment, or a car once in awhile. But freedom is had when you dont have payments!Zeviander, BoostedTeg, cke and 13 others Thank this.
