This is my opinion on the whole turning tighter theory. Steering wheel size. I drove a friend's 82 from one place to another so he would have all his #### where he needed it. It had the old big white wheel I couldn't do #### with it. I think I was miss judging the start of turn or rate of speed I was turning it. It is set up just like what in used to as far as steering box behind the axle with power steering. The size of the wheel is it.

Surely the worm drive reduction? Not completely sure that's a proper term is the same. I have heard they sorta use the same boxes. I will say when I got in that W900 I couldn't hit the hole with her holding it. When I got out I could at pretty fast stab. My Pete though took some getting used to though.

I’ll see if I can find the video- guy made a custom steering setup for his 359. I’ve never seen a steer tire cut so hard in either direction.

He’s talking like he would take $4,500 for this one.... I was just curious what it may be worth, I have no need for it.

    I can give you a turning radius comparison between my W9 & a 2011 Pete 389 that’s a little longer......

That Pete wins hands down for close turning radius.

Made it to Seiling Ok after waiting out the fog for 4 hours this morning

If you are running backroads in this part of OK tomorrow morning- start earlier than 7:30 am otherwise you will be stuck behind me.

Gonna try and make Pecos tomorrow but doubt I make it that far. Maybe Midland ?

Well here’s my take on all this truck info / knowledge.....

We all here on this forum have a meeting of the minds, we could design and build one hell of a truck!!! Definitely the ultimate du-al rig lol.
