Well, if I end up getting treated like a company driver at least I can give my two weeks and turn the truck in. At least I have a shot this way! Being a company driver again FOR SURE I'd be treated like a company driver. And I'd rather clean the floors in a porn theater or work at MacDonald's than be a company driver.

I eat cold spaghetti out of a can and my rent is $550. I have no family to support. For me to make it work won't be hard, and my dream is to make $300 a week, to not hate my job, and to sleep with the ####### air conditioner on when it's 100˚. I'm a simple person.

Ok then here's my advice, take it for what it's worth, call every company that you found on that website I gave you and take all the numbers they give you and crunch numbers to see which one is the best, then find everything you can about them, good, bad or indifferent, and go from there, I'm certain you know this as you seem educated, just my .02

I think this is great advice, so thanks. It won't be as hard as it sounds, because 99% of them won't let a person lease with 6 months experience!

Think picking the best one and working for them til they would let you lease so you can see how they work and build a relationship with them so when you do lease you have a better idea what to expect

See, here's the deal ... because of all the crap on my record, no decent company wants to hire me, not now in this economy. Even before Swift screwed up my DAC report Swift was the ONLY company that would hire me. (Celadon and Prime might have, I don't know, but Werner and some of the others turned me down.) This is partially the reason I'm going for the lease thing. Anyway at this point I think the first company that calls me and will give me a job is going to be the one I pick no matter what. And if it sucks, hey, it sucks, but I've been sitting around way too long.

Well if your DAC is screwed up, to what extent I don't know but if it's screwed up nobody in the world will hire you not even for a lease so now I'd go spend money you don't have and get it fixed otherwise it'll be "y'all want fries with that"

Around Michigan I think even McDonald's wants three years of experience!

Haha, yeah, all jokes aside, according the pizza folks my driving record would be really clean, because they only go back 5 years I think!
