I need to rant just a little so you guys may want to skip over this. I put my nose somewhere yesterday where it didn't belong and the response to the post is still on my mind. Like I've said before, every now and then a young driver comes along that would probably do well in his own truck. I said so to Lysdexis and he didn't know if I was being sarcastic. Just for the record, I will never be sarcastic, condescending, hateful or rude in my comments. I will never give advice unless asked and I will never give an opinion. Opinion is just the politically correct word for bulls..t, and if everyone kept their beloved opinion to themselves, we could clean the air up overnight. When I started this trek, truckers were just different. Jamesmack will probably understand this better than others, but truckers in that time frame were fiercely independent, fiercely loyal, and their word was their bond. I am very proud of the fact I have lived my whole life with those three traits, and am very proud to have known others just like that. I know there are others on this thread that would do good with their own trucks, but age comes into play on some. Some want security much more than opportunity, and that's ok. It's just the more security someone has the less freedom they have. I thrive on freedom. So to Lysdexis, I apologize for the confusion. I guess I need to shut it up. For those of you on the road, be safe. Someone at home just might want to see you again.

No worries, you’ve been a good addition to the group. The only disagreement I have is the opinion part. Opinions are a form of BS but that’s what we do here is BS. The key is knowing when to give your opinion (not always my strong suit) and that is not necessarily more valuable than others. However without opinion giving it’d be pretty boring in here and in life.
