I don’t know what you mean? All of those manufacturers make a 46. Why do you think it’s pointless? It’s probably the most spec’d HH wgt rating out there.

SAR, Oxbow, Zeviander and 17 others Thank this.

And it’s not just the spring rating, but they carry bigger axles, carriers and bearings.

    WHAT?!?

Manual slacks made me climb under the truck pert near every day. Not only to adjust em, but sometimes while I was down there, I’d find something broke or about to break. Then I’d have to fix that too. Hardly ever had anything break on the road cuz I fixed it all at the shop before it caused a problem.

Nowadays “outta sight, outta mind” is the name of the game for most.

The reason I say that is if a 40k susp. wont do what you need, a 46k is pointless, might as well go to a 52k. 46 is in the middle. Extra spring or crossmember, slightly larger diameter axle shaft. Housing, carrier, pinion, ring gear is still the same. Now if your concerned about legality and 46k does that fine. But looking at getting your moneys worth a 40k, will do anything a 46 will. You need bigger spec a 52 with larger shafts, and carrier.
