No problem! Me personally I don’t like it I want my annual earnings to reflect what I actually made. Per Diem lowers that amount so it looks like you didn’t make as much money, that might be a problem if you’re looking to finance something.
Do not work for knight transportation!!!

Yeah but what about crappy pay at Knight?
-
No one is forced to work there.

This is trucking. You won’t know how they are going to screw you until you work for them. If what you said is true, then you might as well delete this whole sub-forum about reporting bad trucking company.fuel367 Thanks this.

When I go through orientation I ask enough questions that I either find out what I need to know, or find that I not going to get a straight answer. Then I would decide to stay or get up and leave.
Every day I see people come on this sub forum and most of their problems could have been avoided by simply doing more research on any companies they are interested in. You can do searches here on TTR or even Google and get reviews. You can run their Dot number through the CSA site (search here: Safety Measurement System - Simple Search) and see their oos percentage and maintenance issues.
What I'm saying is you don't have to work for crap companies to find out they have issues. Do your homework. -
Good advice, but that's too much initiative. Much easier to hop on a greyhound ride halfway across the country and either get rejected out of orientation or put yourself through the ringer and come on here and complain and whine about it.
Sad, but this is the general norm for most people nowadays. What?!? We dont get participation trophies and ice cream as an adult when we lose!

Your thinking is a fallacy. So, in order to do research, I actually have to find good reviews and bad reviews and decide for myself. When people complain and write bad reviews, your answer is “nobody forced you to work there.” So, essentially you only encourage good reviews and scolds bad reviews. So how is one going to do any research if they only read good reviews?
Also maintenance is not all what people complain about. People complain about pay and work conditions and treatment from magement, etc etc. That is not on CSA. Those are only available from reviews.
To dismiss others who doesn’t agree with you with simple “nobody forced you” is petty and elitist. Maybe next time something unfortunate happen to you, we should just say that “nobody forced you, you should have known better, and you should have done better research.”Gearjammin' Penguin Thanks this. -
People complain and whine because they felt they’ve been wronged. Next time maybe a SJW screws you over or DOT write you a bogus ticket, you should just suck it up and don’t complain about it.
-
Generally when a company has thousands the same type of complaints, that should send red flags...someone chooses to ignore that and show up at said co and then complain..the only thing they should be told.. told you so!
-
Dont know what SJW is, but as an adult I would put my big boy suit on go to court and fight the bogus ticket. If the ticket truly was bogus, I would take documentation, pictures, and any other proof to discredit the said bogus ticket and have the bogus charge thrown out.
This is way more effective than whining on thee internetsmjd4277 and drvrtech77 Thank this.
