I had the same problem, its the fuel quantity control valve
Part # A0000900069
Its $711.49 as of 3-11-19
And about 2.5 hours of labor cost/time. -
Steelhorse did yours do that on initial startup as well or after the truck was warmed up?
Nevermind, I checked the part and It looks like its for a dd13 or dd15. I have series 60 -
Are you still experiencing this issue or it was fixed?
-
Original poster seems to have fixed the issue with a throttle control valve. My 2011 columbia with the same motor 14l series 60 has a lopey idle after warm up. new injector orings and cups and no air on oem side of fuel system.
-
It's hard to diagnose a issue like yours i actually read your entire thread due to the fact that it happens when its warm. You will really need someone with experience to go over everything with a laptop and start chasing potential issues on the mechanical side of components.

Mine is fixed, on a DD15
-
How did u fix the problem? I'm having the exact issue tried 3 mechanics including freightliner w to no avail.

The red cummins does exist but not certain in later years.
If I had to guess it will be a Detriot of some kind. -
I don't care for ISX engines, and they are red. Not available in Freightliner after EGR came out until after Cat left the on highway engine segment. As far as I know, that was after the 2008s.x1Heavy Thanks this.
