I loved working for Schneider. I ran hard and was home just about every weekend. Sometimes Friday, sometimes Saturday. What I liked the most was I never waited on a load. It was like I was always preplanned 2-3 loads deep. I lived in San Antonio and this was 7 years ago.
Some weeks I wouldn’t leave Texas. Other times I would go to Wisconsin and back. Made decent money. However I believe work ethic is EVERYTHING. In my time with Schneider I probably talked to 50 drivers at the terminals and from what everyone tells me, they always got paid so much less than I did. Be positive, communicate, and work like a man and you shouldn’t have problems.

I was leased on to an outfit in Green Bay, and I went to Ft. Howard paper all the time. This was in the 90's, and it was all pumpkin then. I talked to many drivers while waiting for my container, and just about all said they liked it, but just don't try to get home, and again, like I say, you go on with ANY road outfit, you got no business wanting to get home. Just make you miserable.

First off there's no reason in the world they cannot get you home every 7 days for at least your 34. I've been running Houston turns from Mojave CA 3300 to 3500 miles home every 6 days , Solo. Now problem. If they are not keeping promises made for employment they have broke the contract.
Legend will get you home for your reset every week and you will still make good money, depending on the mileage pay you negotiate to start with.
Companies will try to push you around if you let them. And if you do let them it is your own fault. -
You gotta admit. You're doing out and back, dedicated, to your home. Makes it easy to keep home time. Come on.... admit it...
Yes I know. I graduated from Quartz Hill High School. Played plenty of golf in Cal. City.

I not only admit, I require it. I will not drive for someone who is not willing to get me home when I want to be. I drove for IWX, Valley Bulk, GF Lacaeyse, Arnett Trucking, Alan Richie, even May trucking 15 years ago got me home once a week and many more and they all have been able to get me home 2 days a week.Upinsmoke Thanks this.
