knighton5, that is exactly why I reposted my comments.

The sad fact is, nothing is going to change! Look at this site. Look at who posts here. The bad outways the good for the most part. Yet, people flock to these same companies like moths to a light.

I don't know how we as drivers expect the companies to change while we constantly fall into their traps? Drivers need to wake up and tell companies that they ar not going to take it anymore! Sorry but I doubt it will happen.

    Drive safe

Most drivers are indeed lazy ##### who have no idea (or desire) how to stand up for themselves. Companies know this and have the added advantage of a tight job market. I would indeed look for it to get even worse before it gets better.
It is also a given that your average truckload driver is not gonna get any smarter.

Thats exactly why things will never change. Everyone is taking what they can get. To me, all everyone ever did was take what they can get. Thats what kept the same big carriers in business. Take what we offer or leave. There are many more willing to fill your shoes and work for pennies. No skin off our noses. Barf!

I'm sorry but you have a tough row to hoe!:biggrin_2552: You got to pay your dues. Most of you new guys don't do your homework.:biggrin_25512: Most of you could have gone to driving school for free! I'n not talking through a company. Through your state unemployment office.:yes2557:

How many of you went to truck stops and talked with experienced drivers?:biggrin_25511:Most of us would have told you you stay home!!:yes2557: How many stopped and talked with the pepsi driver or a driver sitting in a dock at a customer?:biggrin_25511:

This is a tough business. Most of the companies just S&^*!!!:yes2557:The trick for you is to get some time under your belt. Don''t wreck too many times.:biggrin_2552: Don'tget into trouble. In about a year you can get a better job!:biggrin_255:

Also you are coming to trucking at a bad time! I don't know how long it will tke to get back what we lost.:biggrin_2552: Most all companies will be cutting pay.:biggrin_2551: I know you gotta do what you gotta do! GOOD LUCK!:biggrin_25510:

We are not in the drivers seat now!:biggrin_25512: There are many more unemployed experienced drivers than jobs.:biggrin_2551: The companies are struggling to hang in there because freight rates are crap!:biggrin_2552:

I finally stood up for myself and it cost me my job. Now I'm fighting for unemployment!:biggrin_2552: Am I sorry I stood up for myself? NO! However, the job situation is horrible.:biggrin_2555: And my family and I are in deep DOO DOO!:biggrin_2552: Hopefully, my appeal will get approved soon!:yes2557:

So here's my point... This is not the time to get into it with your DM.:biggrin_25512: It is very bad out here. I'm thinking I will get a job soon. But it will be for less money.:biggrin_25510:

You are right in a way. Drivers are their own worst enemy. The problem is that too many are uneducated or think they are educated because they listen to RUSH!:biggrin_2552: They could not have an original thought if it hit them in the head!:biggrin_2552:

Look how many are willing to accept Mexican trucks!:biggrin_2551:The fact is that too many drivers are dumb! Some can't even operate a toilet properly!:biggrin_2551: We got to many Jethro Bodines!
