Looking to switch

Hey guys. Very new on here but looking for some advice. I’m located in Schuylkill county PA basically an hour away from Harrisburg, Allentown, Reading areas. Current job I’m at I make 70k per year. I have one year experience and have been with this new company only two months. Before anyone goes assuming I’m a job hopper I applied for a different job then the one I am in because i was told I don’t have the experience and all of a sudden I see job postings for the position with the experience level dropped. I ask if I can transfer being that was the position I originally applied for and they gave me every excuse under the sun of why I can’t. Contacted HR numerous times without much help or response so I’m pretty much over it. I plan on relocating south within the next couple of years so I wanted to join somewhat of a larger company so I don’t have to job hop and was trying to look into food service but the reviews on different companies vary so much and there is such an abundance of companies it’s hard to choose the best one to apply to. With that being said here are my questions.

1. How hard is it to maintain/surpass my current salary. Or will I be making less if I switch
2. I’m a hard worker but I’m looking for a somewhat laid back company as far as not being pushed to the extreme/getting the job done at somewhat of my own pace. I like to get the job done right and I always go the extra mile to make sure of that

From my own research US foods seems more laid back the Sysco but that’s just from what I gather on here. Sysco sounds like they make more but are pushed harder. Reinhardt is out of the question they have a bunch of drivers that switch to my company that I work with and heard nothing but bad things. Not much info on GFS. I see Mclane gets some decent reviews. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

 

I don’t feel comfortable stating the company name but it is not food service. And I have no idea which to choose from so I’m seeking info. Thanks for the reply

 

Can I get you opinion as to why? I understand you busy your ### but they seem to make a good wage
