thats one thing I have been hearing alot of from company drivers, these companies are letting alot of driver go for simple reasons or mistakes, I guess they are trying to shed their excess drivers, of course I know from experience there are two sides to every story. I imagine its going to get alot worse before it gets better

The vast majority of these companies don't deserve good drivers. So let them try something! Their dirty laundry will just get put out in public. But thx for the heads up!

However what is being said here is common knowledge for the most part! Anyone that has been in trucking for 6 months or more knows the deal on these companies. This is nothing more than an extension of the CB!:yes2557:Want to know about a company just get on the CB and you will hear all the dirt. This is a least some what censored.:yes2557:

What gose out on the CB is not!:biggrin_25512: They don't have a leg to stand on because on their turn over rates.:biggrin_25512: Everything I put on this forum is the truth!:yes2557:So long as it is the truth, I don't have to worry!:biggrin_25512: Any defense lawyer can get to their files as well.:yes2557: NO! This is something they don't even want to mess with!:yes2557: If so they would have done so already!:yes2557:

The sad thing is that the companies don't seem to learn from their errors.:biggrin_25512:They continue to treat driver like doo doo!:biggrin_2552:They continue to not get then home on time.:biggrin_2552: Not invest in APUs for their trucks!:biggrin_2552: Fail to plan the loads better and legal!:biggrin_2552: Lie through their teeth to potential drivers.:yes2557: And they wonder why they can't keep drivers???:biggrin_2551:

Was it Einstein that said , "To do the same thing over and over again and expect a different result is insanity!" :biggrin_2551:If I owned a company I would be ashamed to have the turn over rate and reputation that many of these companies have.:yes2557:I would be finding out why and making changes.:yes2557: But these guys don't care! I hope a bunch of them go right down the crapper in this recession!:biggrin_2555:

Hi folks, I have a question that may or may not be in line with what has been kicked around as of late, but here goes; I work for a local LTL company that has terminals in 4 or 5 different states. I began my employment there with them back in 2000. In January of 2005 I suffered a fall at a truckstop (slipped and fell on an icy floor there). I reported the accident, sought and recieved medical assistance directly after the fact, and, long story short; since that time, have had a grand total of 5 surgeries to my right shoulder as a result of my injury from the fall. Since 2005, I have worked probally no more than one and a half years due to the surgeries and all. I just underwent my last one this past Feb. and am expecting (knock on wood) to be ready to go back to work in July. I know I took the long way around on this, so finally here is my question for all of you old timers that have been in the saddle for many years; am I going to have a problem getting on with another company if and when I leave this one because of the record of my surgeries, even though I will be certified as all healed and well by a doctor? This company I work for is a real ######## of a company that screwed over more than a thousand of their employees over a 6 year period, and that also is facing a class action suit by those same employees as well. So I really would like to jump on board with another company that treats their employees with respect, but am concerned all of these surgeries will prove to be a major obsticle to doing so. Your responses will be most welcome and appreciated. G

Oh, one last thing I forgot to mention; I am not in the least either willing nor desiring of going over the road as I am 57 and want to enjoy life at home; not wasting it, painfully grinding out the endless miles out there on the road. I have a perfect squeaky clean CDL license that has absolutely no blemishes what so ever, and, in spite of my time off because of my surgeries, still have 5 good years to show for, in the way of driving. So at least I would have that much in my favor. Thanks, G

If you say what the truth is, you shouldn't have to worry about repercussions. Since too many companies are ruining drivers including using the DAC report against them, why would you want to be quiet about that? If you remain silent, nothing will ever change and the companies will keep getting away with what they are doing. Of course, if you are still working for a company, I can understand why you wouldn't want to tell who you are and who you drive for, but if you aren't working for the company anymore and you are telling the truth, why would you be afraid to tell who you really are? Don't let the companies keep getting away with what they are doing to drivers. It's absolutely ludicrous! Drivers do not deserve to be treated badly by these evil companies who keep doing it because people are just too scared to stand up and say, "enough is enough."

Heh, I've lost all faith in breakdown to keep me in a safe vehicle. I'd RATHER steal parts off other trucks and do the work myself BECAUSE I'LL KNOW IT WAS DONE RIGHT!!!

Nothing quite like pulling out of the shop and having a loose airline break free an hour down the road.
