Where is everyone #5

I felt the same way this last winter. Just stale where I was. No personal growth or learning. Just autopilot for the last 2 years. I moved on to a new job and it really gave me the boot in the ### I needed to motivate me to enjoy the job again. Change for personal growth is always a good thing.

 

And here I was reticent about making walleye jokes.... and I don't mean the fish. Lol.

And yesterday, it was towed in for it's enhanced inspection so I could get a title...

So I got a kick in the ### today. My boss de-leased the truck from Bilbo this morning after Id already accepted a load going to SA. They want to start running under their own authority now. Nevermind that the truck I run is required to have an ELD. Nevermind that they have no frieght contacts except the ones Ive got. Nevermind that they haven't even gotten a fuel card so we're not paying cash upfront. What the hell is this girl thinking? Oh yea, she's not because she doesnt have a clue how to actually operate a trucking co.

Luckily I was offered a co driver position before leaving Dallas today. Told that they would love to have me in one of their trucks.

As bad as I want to run independently, I think they're gonna be off to a bad start and that just spells failure to me.

I learned something new today about Carrier APUs...

My starter had been hanging up. Engaging it with a screwdriver on the solenoid showed me the starter itself was ok. Since the little brainbox controls everything I took a chance that it was bad and $250 later it turns out it was not.

Here is what I learned...the brainbox will not disengage the starter unless it senses power from the alternator. Who knew? (Not me)

Unfortunately I can't find an alternator here for less than $685 and several days wait. So I might end up going back to Lubbock again tomorrow.

 

And not known to crash thru a crowed of people!
