Trust me, when I tell you the state calculator...is complete bull#### in most cases.

I had a friend who made $400 a week bring home. His ex asked for a raise in support, from $600 a month to $800.

And got it.

50% of his bring home !!!!

I couldn't believe he was paying $600 to start ?!? I would have sat my ### in jail. Especially since he hadn't seen his kids in 2 years...due to the ex being a complete ###.

I also know of a ex Army Vet. that actually got full custody of his two kids. Turns out that when he came back from Iraq, his wife was not only cheating on him, but using his rent money to fund a meth lab operation in the same house as his kids. Well, she was in jail but got released early for some plea deal for testifying against the meth dealer she was cheating on her husband with..... go figure

The Army Vet. went to court and even got awarded child support from her... yup! She is suppose to PAY him!

Has he got a single payment? Nope! Probably NEVER will... He went to court again on this issue(None payment) and NOTHING was done.

How's that for a double standard?

Father no pay = Jail
Mother no pay = Nothing

 

I have seen plenty of fathers not got to jail (3 relatives and 2 friends), it all depends on how far the mother pushes it. He could likely get her to go to Jail. It might be good for her if she went to jail, she can be a mother to her children.
