@not4hire you'll get a laugh out of this. At one time 2011 or so the Nabor's Owego yard was the busiest cement yard in the country for a bit. You think they'd throw em a bone and send up a new or newer pump. Nope lol. They drug up a 1978 out of the bone yard with 8-71s. Old Hali equipment. After rebuilding it ended up being the best pump in the fleet

That's why I'm half-deaf; running the old Dowell twin cementers with the exposed 8v71 deck engine behind my right ear.Another Canadian driver and MartinFromBC Thank this. -

I picked cement. It’s right in my hometown also instead of living in ND for 3 weeks. So far so good officially on my 24/7 call today hopefully the money is here. Thanks for everyone’s input.

Well here’s how it has been...
70 hour week (training)
23 hour first week
58 hour second week
28 hour week
24 hours this week....
I’ve made a whopping 3000 dollars last month......
Needless to say not making things work here so I put in my notice...from many many hands this has been the norm since October....
I started technically on the 4th of March. Anyway I’m getting out of the oilfield once again. I found a local job and going to take it with a small company....oilfield might be great but I think I’m done.Another Canadian driver Thanks this. -
There is no one-size-fits-all answer to this question, as the best choice for each individual will depend on their specific skillset and goals. However, cement jobs generally tend to be more technical and require a higher level of experience. On the other hand, Frac jobs are more physical and usually involve 12-hour shifts on location. So cement may be the better choice if you are looking for a more challenging and technical job. It's funny that I worked for https://www.honolulu-concrete.com/ for a couple of years and still have doubts about what's best.

Definitively a nice cement pump. We don't usually lead with concrete but our friends at Comfort Temp are really good with construction jobs and we have learned by seeing what they do with their concrete pumps.
