Yep, Louis Cairo's is good too. It's a little more formal than Granzella's but it has better Basque food.

That place is awesome I always eat there going in or to California

 

We don't need more places to buy fuel, we need room to park and the dinky ### lots loves builds are more of a pain than its worth. I've seen few loves with a decent parking lot that doesn't look like it was used as a range for mortars.

 

And as if the parking lot wasnt small enough, now they all have this sudden need to build a tire repair shop and take up half of the parking lot.

 

Until a few years ago, Pollard flat was the best place to stop and eat along the I-5. The old man that owned it for decades made great food and lots of it. He passed away and his kids took over. The restaurant still has great atmosphere and is like a roadhouse museum inside, but the food now is horrible. I still stay there on occasion just because it's convenient, but I refuse to eat there any longer. They do an ok breakfast, but everything else is eat at your own risk. I've had the green apple quick steps for days afterward the last 2 times I've eaten there.

 

Bummed to hear that. I keep wanting to stop by. Maybe I’ll give the breakfast a try next time I pass by... but an “ok breakfast” isn’t really what I’m looking for. I can make that myself on the truck. LOL
