I would like to know what the issues besides the difference in torque tolerances pertaining to the drive line components would be if I change the engine to the MP-10 engine or if that is remotely possible. Also can I remove any emissions from the MP-10 that currently would not be supported but the existing wiring harnesses on the E-7 and the truck in it's current configuration?

I understand this is probably an undertaking that will be expensive if it's at all possible so I'd appreciate some impute from any one that has real-world experience in this adventure.

Yes I know I could buy another truck with the MP-10 already installed but that's not my first choice for personal reasons.

    Thanks in advance.

short answer it will not fit even if it did not enough radiator third why? if you was going to do a transplant like this shoe horn a e9 v8 in and make some real power, the older macks have narrow rails getting a mp7 transplanted in one is about all that will fit mp8 little to wide and alot longer

MP8 is a far far better choice.
If you want bigger power, turn it up

MP10s were nightmares and no parts available if you need them.

They discontinued the mp10 it was a total shop queen.

What don't you like about the e7? We out gun the 505mp 8 but the 93 E7 we have is far from stock. You can turn these E7 into monsters like the 12.7 Detroit's.

We rebuilt the 93 this summer. It was a factory 350 with 16.9:1 piston. Lowered the comp to 15.3:1 got stage 2 injectors that flow 25% over stock. A borg warner 171702 turbo. Huge compared to small s300 that was on there. Here's a pic

Here's what it looks like on the truck

We also have the timing advanced and the rack opened up all the way on the inline p pump.

It leaves the 99 460 with a ecu tuner in the dust. That has 18sp 4.42 rears. The 93 has a 13 double over and 3.91s. So figure about 500-525 it claims 30% but doesn't feel it. I can pull the hills on 81 and i77 @80k and only split it to direct.

It doesnt get hot water never reaches above 200 and pyro never touches 950. Pulling 43 psi with that turbo

turn up the E7 you'll be shocked and if he switches to a fully mechanical pump you can take the p7100 (same exact pump as the legendary 12v 5.9 cummins) and you can get flat top 13mm plungers/barrels larger delivery valves, a more aggressive cam for the pump and be pushing 700+ and with the big turbo and low comp pistons it relieves a lot of head gasket issues esp if u install studs instead of the reg head bolts.

Hahaha that's pretty awesome hot rodded E7 !!

I guess it depends what the op wants to do.

That E7 sounds like allot of fun!!.. but i also wouldn't trust reliability of any turned up non factory power level. Way too many long term durability problems engine or drivetrain.
Sounds like you did some good things to that motor to help all that like lower compression pistons and a better turbo.

Before rebuild my dad just had a blixxton tuning module that basically is just a resistor to fool the rack into opening all the way. The pyro would hit 1100 if you didn't back out of it. Now you can hold it all day @1400 and won't go above 950 tops. You really have to work it for fan to come on.

From 16.9 to 15.3 is a pretty big drop in compression deff helps lower cyl pressures. Got new head bolts when we did the inframe.

We have a guy that builds P pumps for the 12V cummins. (P7100 same exact pump that's on a 12V) he's building us a hot 13mm pump. Going full mechanical and getting rid of the Vmac1 electronics.

Edit: the marine E7 is rated @750 2400rpm so as long as you keep it cool and don't always mash it they will last a long time turned up

Ditto to what KB3 said, that's awesome to hear that you guys are taking an older motor and making a monster out of it! What kind of mpg are you getting?
