I have verduyn for over 1 month , I like it
Much better quality that fasttrack or quickdraw ( currently renting one ) , fasttrack doesn't even come close on the quality , have 2 guys parked next to me and after one year both of them regret getting fasttrack . I was going to get it as well but some guys here recommended verduyn ...was worth the wait and just 1500 more vs fasttrack . Still thinking about converting my stepdeck or not ...scheduled for April 29
Which Connestoga system is best?

I've got a handful of experience with the quik draw setup. I like it a lot! Nothing tighter than it. Tears easy though as tight as it is, dont ask. This one is 11 years old and still going...but not strong. At this age it requires a bit of finesse. I originally wanted this same kit for my new step deck thats "in the mail" but with it being very closely priced to the Chameleon kit, I ended up going that route. (Approx $22,500 USD well equipped) The Chameleon setup is far superior. It really outshines the quik draw with available 104" usable width. The only thing I dont like about it, is on an all aluminum step deck, once loaded, it ain't all that tight. Perhaps the outfit that put the ones together that I've pulled, didnt do the greatest job installing them. Hopefully, my factory installed kit wont be as bad! Im not sure if the steel mains of the combo-to-be will make a positive difference or not but I'll be sure to comment further when it shows up.

Mine was $15k as I recall shipped, it’s like $4500 more (usually) for installation. I had JP Rivard put mine on.
Those verduyn units really do seem to be well put together and built to last.. I don’t like the outward appearance, but otherwise they do seem to be stout.
The more arch your trailer has, the saggier your tarp will be when you load it heavy, bc you’re flattening the arch which makes the distance front to back shorter on the top of the tarp system/ making it loose. Load it heavy n you need to tighten it up before you lock it up. And you’ll need to loosen it when you empty to be able to close it.6rider, SoDel, sirjeff and 1 other person Thank this. -
Quickdraw has been good to me. The front ratchet system can be upgraded to a air release lock. A fasttrack system is a knock off of the quickdraw. The reason why some have problems opening a quickdraw is because they don't maintain the wheels. You get a bad guide wheel and you don't fix it and keep working it you put more stress on the other guide wheels and just break more.

Yea I'm not fan of this front ratcheting for this quick drawl.
In thinking this now.
Verduyn is prob my first but they have so long a backup.
And I'm thinking Connestoga Aero XP as my choice or next.
I found this on youtube:

I had an Aero XP installed on my 2015 MAC flat in Jan of 18. $13980 installed. The initial install wasn't the greatest, I found some bolts that were left loose. Not a huge deal. I had a couple rollers come apart on the rear car when it was 4 months old. Changed them out and haven't had a problem with them since. The velcro for the rear curtain is weak and won't hold when wet anymore. I have the roll-up rear curtain with the long handle. I had to put a new flexible end on that rod due to the original one would twist onto itself before the curtain got to the top. Next one will have the rope pull for sure. The stainless front panel ain't all that shiny IMO.
I will say it is very very fast. I like not having to loosen tension on the rear to open it from the front. Mine doesn't have any sag loaded or empty and I've got a big arch 72k beam trailer. I don't know which way I will go when the time comes to get another. If you are on a budget I think it's a decent system if you can deal with the annoying little things that come up. But if you want the best...keep looking.HopeOverMope, Tug Toy, Ruthless and 1 other person Thank this. -
