Engine breather....Im thinkin its just the egr cooler winding down..
-
Is it ok or not.i m buying this Volvo 1st time.
-
Its a normal thing but i didnt hear it to say for sure...
I shure as hell hope you did a TON of inspecting before you considering it..
Back ground chks,fuel records,dealer records,oil samples,ecu download....Research the #### outta it before you fork over the $... -
Not sure what you're calling an engine breather, you might be hearing the DEF pump emptying the line or there's always a clicking sound that comes from DPF side as well, that's all normal.
-
And a dyno run with blowby test
-
Noise is coming from driver side engine .it like air leak or like turbo spinning
-
It's the crankcase breather spinner. It condenses the fumes and sends the oil back to the pan, rather than out into the atmosphere for emissions purposes. It's normal.
-
Well there's no turbo driver side, DEF pump is a whirring sound driver side. Check the compressor line driver side, towards rear of engine. Not sure what more we can tell you here, other than take it into a shop. Hard to diagnose on a forum.JPSIPPY Thanks this.
