Any suggestions for undershirts, underwear and socks for Summer?

I know I'm going to be sweating a ton!

    Thanks!

i usually wear the colored pocket T shirts, long pants (as i do unloading/re-loading), and work boots or shoes..

when i ran the road, the same thing.

cotton "breathes" easier than nearly any other fabric.

I think the adhage “cotton kills” is more aimed at the winter months. When you sweat in the winter the cotton holds the moisture without being able to “wick” it away from you, then when cold temps set in it’s a disaster. In the summer cotton is the way to go imho.

Makes sense. I removed that quote in my original post because it's a saying from hiking.

My thought is cotton will absorb the sweat and it stays wet. Doesn't dry quickly and you will start to chaf. This happened to me many times working in hot kitchens.

I'm looking up alternatives and may try a nylon/polyester blend.

T-shirts and shorts. Boxers and boxerbriefs get very in the summer. Might sounds crazy but regular briefs or briefs with pouch seem to keep the boys cool. They have some new high tech underwear that have separate pouch just for the boys. They could be good for driving

I like to carry a towel with me in the cab, for "drying off" after I'm done working outside. Also, a small cloth to wipe the sweat from my eye-glasses.
T-shirts are good or those wicking shirts that a hiker would wear. If you're required to wear a "hi-vis" vest, consider getting bright colored shirts to eliminate the vest. I try to avoid dark colors as they are hotter in the sun. Shorts are great for working inside a hot trailer if your company allows shorts. I do flatbed, so shorts aren't too appealing for climbing on a load.
I'm an old man so I wear compression socks, but I had a medical examiner suggest to me once trying "diabetic socks". They have a looser fit on your calf and might be more comfortable. I always wear safety shoes, but there was a time when I ran up and down ramps that I actually found some steel toe sneakers.
I've also learned to get composite toes instead of steel because the composite doesn't get cold in winter like steel...
You might try going commando, as they say on the CB, "I ain't got no panties on"

Practically all foodservice an LTL companies have uniforms you have to wear. Company policy will dictate what type of summer clothing is acceptable. Remember...your representing the company you work for. So you can't go out looking like you're ready for the beach...with flip flops, wife beater, and gym shorts.
