I am rebuilding it to replace an ISX!
I want it to have real power, I would like to have 550 to 650HP to the ground!
What internals should a guy use?
Any coatings? IE pistons and so on?
It is out of the truck. I will be pulling the crank to balance it and straighten it!
I have to replace cam, do to the fact it is only rated at 375HP right now!
TIA!
Any tips???

You want steel top pistons at least if not full steels. Somebody should wander by sooner or later who will be able to give you part numbers, they're probably going to want last six of the serial.benny906 Thanks this.

My serial 1LW 31037 475 hp steel top pistons, but if I was you I'll order the one piece steel piston from IPD or for that matter their entire overhaul with crevice seals liners, head and one piece oil pan gasket.

Your gonna get a hundred different responses from a hundred people. With it being a low horse motor I would definitely build it to a 550 arrangement number. There are a lot of smaller parts that may be different so I would check and double check everything. Piston cooling nozzles are one thing that come to mind
