Show us all how it's done then, company driver. Clearly you are blessed with the money, skills, talent, and foresight that nobody here has ever seen.

Clearly someone has pissed on your Cheerios or you have had a bad experience. Either way, I have always been cool with you. You have obviously chosen to call me out. There must be a reason, so fill me in. Otherwise, you mean nothing now.
-
If you had any brains, you would have read my posts all the way through that got me where I'm at before you decided to comment. I never had any intentions of staying here. This is just my next step. No, this place isn't perfect, and ownership isn't what people think it is. But it does great if you do what you're supposed to do. Good luck with your life man. Write a book once you make your millions in trucking, then show us all why we're doing it wrong. Talk to me in August when I'm fully independent and killing it. You can't go from 0 to 60 without time, research, and some luck. And most importantly, contacts. I wish you well. Only because I don't want to look like a bad guy.

I've got a 2018 and the sensor will beep every time it passes a speed limit sign and you are 5 mph or more over. 4 mph and below I do not notice it beeping.
If 10 mph or more over it cuts the throttle for a split second. It does not brake. At least when on the throttle and not using cruise. I am not sure what happens if on cruise.
I found out the 10 over when going through a work zone posted at 55 but also with a light and sign that says "when flashing". Normally it was a 70 mph zone. It was in the middle of the night and not flashing but the sensor can only read the speed limit sign and not the other signage. It thought I was going 15 mph over.
It was through Charleston, WV on 64 and that whole area has signs but it was not an active work zone. I did not see any evidence of work either. Just signs. Kept beeping and cutting the throttle for miles.MIT Thanks this. -
Dude I made a joke. I thought I clarified that with my last post . Let me put it another way: Landstar is what you make of it . If you work hard and are careful about what loads you take you'll do well. If you sit at home all the time and run cheap beer loads when you do go out you'll go broke. From what I understand, Landstar only requires you to run a load like every 90 days before they delease you. So be lazy, run beer = Landstarve. Be smart, work hard, run good freight = ballin.
Geez, man. The truck drivers back in the 90s had a better sense of humor than the ones today. Even the old hands. -
Today it felt like a job. Started off well with probably the most difficult backing experience i have had. It involved no room, concrete blocks, a light pole and trailers right in top of each other. Some how I squeezed it in there with no scraped paint.
Wisconsin was my favorite state until they closed 2 lanes of traffic on 94 today for no apparent reason. A 2 hour nightmare of wall to wall cars.
Making jokes on the Internet is a tough call it’s hard to read facial expressions. -
I don't think anyone reading your post would've thought it was a joke. But cool man, do you.
-
Yep. I’ve been in there a couple times. Cut your way in, shoot your way out.
-
Holy smokes! You guys lighten up a little bit eh? Let’s talk about trucks, beer, boobies and stuff.
-
Anybody with a sense of humor would have gotten that joke and not taken it so personally. But whatever. I have learned my lesson. Landstar is serious ####ing business and no jokes are allowed at any time. Especially not from us lowly company drivers. All hail the mighty Landstar!
Now, since this *is* a Millis forum and lall, here's something I have no sense of humor about and that's the ####### mess at the Richfield terminal. I am supposed to drop this load here but there's absolutely no place to do so. Every cranny in this thing is filled with trucks and trailers. So I am parked here right in everyone's way until morning and if anybody comes knocking on my door because they need to get one of these trailers out, I'm liable to come out swinging.
Between that and the inability of people to take a ####### joke and then get offended by something completely asinine afterwards, I think I am done here. Y'all have fun.Old_n_gray Thanks this.
