    It does it immediately after shutdown, which is what he said in his original post.

    It's supposed to.

    It's a high velocity centrifuge in that canister... Takes a minute to wind down

    It’s perfectly normal just the spinner inside winding down nothing to worry about.

    same thing happens to one of my volvo d13 2012, and yes its the crankcase breather(separator)-touch it to make sure, it spins for 20 30 sec after the engine shut. my other d13 however has never done like this before(owned for 2 years)
    and the sound seems like a bearing.

    The centrifuge wears out over time .. 600-800k they usually fail
