same thing happens to one of my volvo d13 2012, and yes its the crankcase breather(separator)-touch it to make sure, it spins for 20 30 sec after the engine shut. my other d13 however has never done like this before(owned for 2 years)
and the sound seems like a bearing. -
The centrifuge wears out over time .. 600-800k they usually fail
