I'm having a problem tuning my swr with a 5 foot firestik II. With the adjustment screw all the way out my swr is still higher on 1 than 40 (1.89 on 1 and 1.45 on 40) I'm guessing I'll need to install a spring underneath the antenna or find a longer screw? Tried a 7 foot firestik and same issue. Every other antenna I've tried has been the opposite. Ideas? Suggestions?

After adjusting the screw are you putting the red cap back on top of the antenna? Are you checking the SWRs with the doors closed?

2014 cascadia, mirror mount, new coax. Single antenna.
    Antennas tried
    Wilson 2k (high swr)higher on 40
Wilson 4 foot (higher on 40)
    K40 4' was also higher on 40
The firestik is the only one that has shown lower on 40 vs 1

Be sure you excess coax is not coiled together. There are a few others here that are very familiar with the Cascadia hopefully they will chime in shortly and be able to get you straight.

Are you using an external meter?

Using the built in meter on the radio. I ran the coax, it is uncool going from one side of the truck to the other.

The radio meter may be the problem.
